My Safe & Reliable Foods — How to Use This Worksheet
This worksheet gives you space to recognise the foods that already work for you.
Safe and reliable foods can provide familiarity, predictability, comfort and nourishment. They do not need to be removed simply because somebody believes you “should” eat something different.
List foods you can usually manage, predictable meals or snacks and foods that are useful on particularly difficult days.
Think about options that require very little preparation and foods you can easily take with you or keep nearby.
Then explore why these foods feel manageable. It might be their taste, texture, brand, appearance, packaging, temperature or predictability.
There is also an opportunity to consider whether you might like to add something alongside a safe food.
There is no pressure to replace it.
Finish by identifying your easiest nourishment option — something you know you can return to when eating feels difficult.
