My Energy & Fatigue Patterns
What to do:
Energy is not always consistent, and it can be affected by physical health, emotional wellbeing, sleep, stress, sensory demands, work, relationships and everyday responsibilities.
Think about your energy across a typical day or week. When do you generally feel at your strongest? When does your energy begin to fall? Consider not only physical activities but also things such as socialising, concentrating, decision-making, travelling, masking, managing emotions or being in busy environments.
Then look at what helps restore or protect your energy. This could include quiet time, sleep, movement, being alone, spending time with someone safe, reducing demands or doing something enjoyable.
Pay particular attention to the signs that tell you you are approaching your limit. Learning to recognise those signs before you are completely exhausted can make pacing easier.
At the end, choose one realistic way you could protect your energy rather than expecting yourself to completely change your routine.
