The Team Working Simulator

Build understanding. Navigate challenges. Create inclusive teams.

Scenario 1 of 80 completed

Welcome to the team

Step into a fictional workplace and explore eight situations that can challenge communication, relationships and inclusion. Hear how colleagues experience the same event differently, choose responses and consider how small changes could make the team work better.

Important: This is a self-guided educational simulation. All characters and conversations are fictional. It is not a live counselling group, clinical assessment or substitute for workplace, legal or mental health advice.

How your experience works

1. Meet the fictional team and explore their different working styles.

2. Enter a scenario and hear what each colleague is thinking.

3. Make decisions through three conversation stages. See supportive explanations for every response.

4. Reflect, build your own team agreements and save an action plan.

5. Download your work or return later on the same device.

Choose what feels comfortable

There are no timed decisions and no perfect answers. You can skip activities, return to earlier scenarios or stop at any point. The aim is to practise curiosity and thoughtful communication, not to judge your abilities.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a real group?
No. The characters are fictional, the dialogue is scripted and your choices do not reach another person. You are not joining a live meeting or sharing notes with other visitors.
Do I need to disclose my disability?
No. You choose what to share in real life. These scenarios focus on barriers, needs, privacy and respectful communication. Specific legal or workplace decisions may need individual advice.
Will my answers be judged?
No. Different responses have different possible effects. Feedback explores why an approach may help or cause difficulty; context and personal safety always matter.
Where are my notes kept?
When browser storage is available, notes remain in this browser profile rather than being transmitted by this standalone activity. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to access them. Private browsing or clearing website data can remove them.
What if I am dealing with bullying or discrimination?
This learning tool cannot investigate workplace problems. Consider appropriate employer procedures, a representative, an advice service or qualified professional. You do not need to practise a conversation that feels unsafe.

Meet your fictional colleagues

Each person brings strengths, preferences and challenges. These examples are not intended to represent everyone with a particular condition.

Different does not mean less

One person may prefer verbal discussion, another written ideas, another a predictable agenda. Inclusion is about making room for different ways of participating while keeping expectations clear and fair.
