MY SUPPORT NETWORK

Eating-disorder recovery does not have to be managed alone. My Support Network is a practical reflection workbook designed to help you identify the people, professionals and services that can support different parts of your recovery.

Inside, you can explore who you feel emotionally safe with, who you can talk to when eating feels difficult and what professional support is available to you. The workbook helps you explain what you need from other people, including what makes you feel supported, what feels pressuring or unhelpful, how you prefer conversations about eating to happen and what can help before, during and after meals.

There is a dedicated section for asking for help, including space to prepare a sentence or message in advance, identify who you can contact first and decide what you would actually like that person to do. You can also map your GP or medical care, eating-disorder or mental-health professional, dietetic support, practical help and sensory adjustments.

The final section brings your network together into one personal plan and includes recommended eating-disorder reading, UK support routes and a message from Space to Breathe Therapy.

This workbook can be completed independently or alongside a therapist, eating-disorder professional, dietitian, GP or trusted person. It is for information and reflection and does not replace individual medical assessment or eating-disorder treatment. If you are physically unwell, at immediate risk or concerned about rapid deterioration, seek urgent medical support.
