RECOVERY: MY WAY

Recovery from an eating disorder is personal. It does not have to follow somebody else's timeline, look perfectly linear or be defined only by symptoms and numbers.

Recovery: My Way is a reflective workbook that helps you explore what recovery could mean in your own life. Inside, you can consider what the eating disorder has taken time and energy away from, the strengths you already bring to recovery, what feels frightening about change and what could make that change feel safer.

The workbook also gives you space to imagine a future relationship with food, identify where you would like greater flexibility, recognise progress beyond numbers and turn your reflections into a realistic recovery-focused step. Prompts help you think about barriers, support, what you may need afterwards and how to respond when progress feels imperfect.

The final section helps you review what recovery may already be giving back to you and includes recommended books, UK support resources and a personal message from Space to Breathe Therapy.

This resource can be completed independently or alongside a therapist, eating-disorder professional, dietitian, GP or trusted person. It is designed for reflection and support and does not replace individual medical assessment or eating-disorder treatment.
