HOW DOES MY BODY FEEL BEFORE EATING?
Checking in around a meal or snack can reveal how nourishment affects energy, mood, concentration and comfort. The purpose is to learn, not to eat “correctly”.
This four-page Body Check-in resource explains a twenty-second check-in before and after food. It introduces the body signals that may be relevant, offers a short step-by-step check-in and includes a spacious reflection worksheet for recording sensations, ratings and possible next steps.
The tone is intentionally gentle and non-judgemental. Readers are reminded that signals can be subtle, delayed or difficult to interpret; “unsure” is a valid response. The aim is to build curiosity and self-understanding, not to produce a correct score or follow rigid rules.
This resource can be used independently or explored with a therapist, coach, dietitian or trusted supporter. It is for reflection and education and does not replace personalised medical, nutritional or mental-health advice.
