Different, Not Less
By Chloé Hayden
I chose this book because it celebrates neurodivergence while also being honest about the difficulties neurodivergent people can experience.
Chloé shares personal experiences alongside helpful explanations and practical encouragement. The message I hope readers take from this book is that being different does not make you less deserving, less capable or less worthy of belonging.
I would recommend it to autistic and ADHD young people, adults, parents and anyone wanting to understand neurodivergence more compassionately.
Books can help us feel understood, introduce us to new ways of thinking and sometimes give us the words for experiences we have never been able to explain.
I have carefully chosen these books because each one offers something meaningful. Some provide practical strategies, while others share personal experiences that may help you feel less alone.
You do not need to read a book from beginning to end or complete it quickly. Take your time, pause whenever you need to and keep only the ideas that feel helpful to you.
Warmly,
Maggie
