GROUNDING TECHNIQUES - INTERACTIVE ANXIETY RESOURCE

When anxiety, panic or overwhelm pulls attention into racing thoughts, grounding can help bring attention back to what is happening in the present.

This interactive resource is designed to be used, not simply read. It includes visual searches, sensory prompts, feet-and-pressure grounding, object description, a colour hunt, orientation prompts, a personal grounding menu and a short “after the wave” check-in.

There is no expectation to complete every activity. People can choose the techniques that feel manageable and adapt or skip sensory exercises that are uncomfortable. The aim is not to force anxiety away, but to create a practical point of contact with the here and now.

Useful for:
• anxiety and panic
• overwhelm and racing thoughts
• moments of disconnection or feeling mentally “swept away”
• building a personal collection of grounding strategies
• therapy, coaching, wellbeing and self-support

The downloadable workbook is practical and interactive, with space to write, notice, choose and experiment.
