Reflective Writing for Neurodivergent Minds

A practical, neurodiversity-affirming workbook for people who want to reflect in ways that fit their own thinking, communication, sensory needs and pace. Reflection is offered as a flexible tool, not a test or a demand to become more typical. You do not need a diagnosis or a particular writing style to use it.

Across nine pages, the guide explores accessible ways to begin, choosing a format that works, reflecting without forcing a straight-line story, understanding the context around an event, noticing sensory and emotional signals, communicating and repairing misunderstandings, and recognising growth with the right support. It includes practical prompts, examples and a flexible reflection map that can be used in any order.

The workbook encourages readers to adapt or skip prompts, pause when needed and seek support if reflection brings up distress. It recognises that accommodations and environmental changes can be part of making progress possible.
