Finding My Balance

An interactive reflection space to explore where your energy goes, what matters and what may help everyday life feel more sustainable.

Balance does not have to look perfect. It needs to work for the person living it.

Part One · My energy

Where does my energy go?

Balance is not about giving everything an equal amount of time. Different responsibilities can take very different amounts of energy.

My energy allocation

Imagine you have 20 energy points to distribute across a typical week. Use the plus and minus buttons to explore where those points go.

This is a reflection activity, not a scientific measure of energy.

Worth remembering

Time and energy are not always the same. A short activity may be exhausting, while another activity might feel restful even if it takes longer.

Part Two · Important and urgent

What really needs my attention?

Some things are urgent, some are important, some are both and some may not need our attention at all.

Urgent

Needs attention soon, such as a deadline or an immediate problem.

Important

Matters to your wellbeing, relationships, values or longer-term needs.

My responsibility sorter

Add a responsibility, task or demand, then decide where it belongs. You can change your mind later.

Part Three · Unmet needs

What keeps being pushed aside?

When life gets busy, our own needs can quietly become the last thing on the list. This is not a personal failure; it may tell us something about the demands we are carrying.

What has been missing?

Select anything that you feel has been difficult to make space for.

You do not need to earn rest

Rest, recovery, enjoyment and connection are not rewards for completing everything else. They are legitimate parts of a sustainable life.

Part Four · Protecting capacity

Boundaries and recovery

Sometimes better balance comes from reducing, adapting or sharing demands rather than finding more things to fit into the day.

Boundaries

A boundary can clarify your availability, energy, responsibilities or need for space.

Recovery

Recovery time can be planned as part of life, rather than left until you are completely exhausted.

Boundary practice

Choose a sentence starter to explore a way of communicating your needs.

Part Five · A week at a time

My weekly balance check-in

Take a moment to notice what each day has required and whether you have had an opportunity to recover.

A gentle daily check-in

Rate how manageable your demands felt, from 1 (very difficult) to 5 (manageable). This is not a performance score. You can leave days blank.

Looking at my week

Complete any day to begin seeing your weekly reflection.

Numbers are only one part of the picture. Your own notes are more important than any average.

Part Six · Bringing it together

My Personal Balance Plan

This plan is built from your reflections and can change with your circumstances. It is not another list of demands.

Balance does not mean doing everything equally. It means making room for what helps life remain sustainable.
