My Emotional Weather
Emotions can shift throughout the day, sometimes gradually and sometimes without much warning. My Emotional Weather offers a gentle and creative way to pause and notice what your emotional world feels like right now, without needing to immediately change, explain or fix it.
What this activity is for
This activity is designed to support emotional awareness and help you put something visual or descriptive around feelings that may be difficult to name. Thinking about emotions as weather can make them feel a little easier to explore. Just like weather, emotions can change, overlap and exist in different intensities.
What you need to do
Use the activity to describe or represent your current emotional weather in whatever way feels natural to you. There are no correct answers and you do not need to make what you create look a particular way. Notice the emotions that are present, how strong they feel and anything you become aware of as you complete the page.
A little note from me
You don’t need to understand every feeling before you’re allowed to acknowledge it. Sometimes simply noticing what is happening inside us is enough for now. Be curious rather than critical about whatever shows up on the page.
