Productive… until someone mentions it
I was happily getting things done, feeling focused and unstoppable — then someone said, “You should get started on that.” Suddenly the task felt like a demand, my motivation packed a tiny suitcase and left, and I needed a minute to recover from being interrupted while doing the thing.
Sometimes a reminder can turn a task into pressure, especially when you’re already working on it. A bit of trust and space can help motivation stick around.
From Gemma: I was doing it. I was literally doing it. Please don’t make me have a meeting with the task.
