Attention and ADHD

Focus can change. Support can change with it.

ADHD can affect directing, sustaining and shifting attention. Some activities may be difficult to stay with, while others become deeply absorbing. The pattern varies between people and situations; it is not a measure of how much you care.

What is happening with your attention?

Tap a situation for an idea. Use what fits and leave the rest.

Start by noticing, without scoring yourself.

Absorbed does not always mean supported

Deep absorption can feel enjoyable and productive. It may also make it difficult to notice time passing or other needs. A chosen check-in can help you decide whether to continue or pause.

Not everyone with ADHD experiences deep absorption, and it can occur without ADHD. This page cannot diagnose the condition. If attention difficulties are affecting daily life, professional support and adjustments may be useful.
