Flexible Routines and ADHD

A routine that can bend, with room to begin again.

Routines can offer helpful structure, while keeping them going may be difficult. Small steps, flexibility and personal meaning can make a routine feel more workable. This activity helps you design an experiment, not a rule you must follow perfectly.

Try a routine makeover

Choose an example and explore a more flexible version.

Build one routine

Start with something useful to you. The aim can be comfort, access or enjoyment as well as getting things done.

Which version fits today?

This choice is just for this visit. It does not create reminders or track a streak.

You can choose a version, adjust the plan or take a pause.

Make one part easier

Choose an option to explore.

Keep my routine card

Writing stays here while this page is open. Download it before leaving to keep a copy. This activity does not send it anywhere.

If the routine stops working

Ask what changed. Your capacity, surroundings, responsibilities or interest may be different. You can shorten the routine, change a cue, seek support or decide it is no longer useful.

A missed day is information, not a debt. You do not have to make up every missed action. Fixed commitments may need a separate plan or practical support; flexibility does not mean every responsibility can move.

Space to Breathe Therapy

This is a reflection activity, not an ADHD assessment or a promise that a routine will work for everyone.
