Fresh Perspectives and Autism

A space to look again, ask a different question and make room for another view.

Autistic people can offer valuable perspectives shaped by their own experiences and ways of thinking. Listening to different viewpoints can reveal questions and possibilities others have missed. No single way of thinking belongs to every autistic person.

Look at it another way

Choose an everyday situation, then explore three different lenses. These are possibilities, not answers you must agree with.

What else could this be?

A small creative invitation. Imagine another purpose or meaning for an everyday thing. There is no score or timer.

My perspective page

Writing stays here while the page is open. Download it before leaving to keep a copy. This activity does not send it anywhere.

Words that open a conversation

Respecting a perspective without assigning a role

Ask people what they think rather than assuming they will be unusually logical, innovative or independent. Autistic people can also be strongly affected by social pressure, expectations and the effort of fitting in.

Make room for written responses, processing time and a choice about participation. A different viewpoint deserves consideration, and every viewpoint can still be explored, questioned and checked.

Space to Breathe Therapy

This is a reflection activity, not a test of autism or creativity. Experiences, strengths and support needs vary.
