I Need Everyone to Stop Asking Things of Me
A neurodivergent interactive demand-overload resource
When processing capacity is already stretched, one more question can feel like far more than a question. It may require attention switching, understanding, decision-making, communication and another expectation to hold in mind.
This interactive resource gives neurodivergent users somewhere to put the demands before trying to deal with them. A large 'PLEASE, NO MORE QUESTIONS' page allows every request, decision, message and expectation to be written down without having to answer any of them.
Later pages explore where demands are coming from — other people, work and life administration, or internal expectations — and identify what currently feels impossible. The guide deliberately moves away from productivity and towards reducing load: what can wait, what can be cancelled, what can be said no to, and what someone else can take over.
Users can also identify what they need people to stop asking or expecting, and what communication would be more accessible instead.
The seven-page interactive PDF includes writable fields, practical communication wording, a tailored message from Maggie and further reading.
