MOOD DIARY — WITH PICTURE CUES
Notice how you feel. Understand what's happening. Find what helps.

Not everybody finds it easy to describe their mood in words.

Sometimes you know that something has changed but cannot find the language for it. Sometimes writing feels tiring or overwhelming. And for many people — including visual thinkers, neurodivergent people and people who find written processing difficult — pictures and symbols can make a check-in much more accessible.

Mood Diary — With Picture Cues uses simple visual prompts to help you notice your mood without needing to write a traditional diary entry.

Inside the full guide you will find:
• mood faces and picture cues
• an energy-level visual
• picture cues for home, work, other people, outside and travelling
• body-sensation cues
• prompts for stress, relationships, sleep, food, weather and body changes
• visual choices for what helped
• visual prompts for what you might need next
• a full printable daily picture-cue diary
• a weekly visual mood tracker
• reflection prompts for recognising patterns
• a personal message from me

You can point, tick, circle, colour or draw.

You do not have to complete every section.

And you can invent your own visual language. A cloud, colour, shape or symbol can mean whatever makes sense to you.

The aim is not to judge your mood or collect “good” days. It is to understand your patterns.

You may begin to notice what drains your energy, which environments affect your body, when you need more rest, or which activities and people help you feel more settled.

Sometimes a picture really can say enough.
