MY COLOURING & CALM WORKBOOK

A gentle creative reset for busy minds

My Colouring & Calm Workbook is a warm, visually engaging six-page resource designed to help children, teenagers and adults pause, settle and reconnect with themselves through colour, observation and simple reflection. Inspired by three cheerful scenes - The Cosy Chicken Coop, Under the Sea and Spa-Day Pups - the workbook offers a low-pressure way to step away from a busy day and give the mind one manageable focus.

The workbook begins with a short check-in, helping the reader notice their current energy, thoughts and body needs without judgement. Each themed section then pairs colourful artwork with gentle prompts about comfort, regulation, rest, self-kindness and letting “good enough” be enough. The final page turns these discoveries into a personal calm menu that can be used when only two minutes are available, when there is time for a longer pause, or when extra comfort is needed.

This resource may be especially helpful for people with ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory overwhelm, stress or a mind that finds it difficult to switch off. It does not demand sustained writing or perfect concentration. Readers can complete every prompt, choose only one, doodle, add patterns, talk through their answers with someone supportive, or simply enjoy looking at the pictures.

Inside the workbook:
• A gentle before-and-after emotional check-in
• Three colourful calming themes
• Clear reflection prompts with generous writing space
• Encouragement to work without pressure or perfection
• A practical personal calm menu for future use
• A reminder that unfinished work and small pauses still count

Suggested use:
Choose the page that feels most inviting rather than working in order. Use pencils, pens or highlighters if you wish, or use the photographs as visual prompts. Stop whenever your body has had enough. This workbook can be used independently, alongside a parent or carer, during coaching or therapeutic support, in a wellbeing group, or as part of a sensory and emotional regulation toolkit.

Please note: This is a supportive wellbeing resource and is not a replacement for individual medical advice, diagnosis, therapy or urgent mental health support.
