MY STRENGTHS, INTERESTS & JOY
How to use the worksheet

This worksheet offers a chance to notice what interests you, what you know, how your mind works, and what brings you energy or joy. Neurodivergence can come with real challenges, and it can also include valuable strengths, interests and ways of seeing the world. You do not have to feel positive about everything to use this page.

There are no right or wrong answers. You can fill it in all at once, choose just one prompt, or return to it another day. Skip anything that does not feel useful. You do not have to share your answers with anyone.

You might write a few words, draw, use colour, dictate your thoughts, make a voice note, or ask someone you trust to help you think. If it is difficult to name your strengths, think about moments when you feel absorbed, curious, capable, comfortable or more like yourself. You could also ask someone who knows you well what they notice you do with ease or care.

The prompts invite you to reflect on:
• topics or activities you can happily lose yourself in
• things you know a lot about
• ways you think differently from other people
• strengths other people notice in you
• what brings you genuine joy
• what helps you feel energised and engaged
• where you might use your strengths more
• one part of your neurodivergence you appreciate

When you have finished, look for anything you would like to remember. Is there an interest you want to make more room for? A strength you could use in a daily task, at work, in learning or in a relationship? Something that helps you feel engaged? You might choose one small step, or simply keep the page as a reminder of what matters to you.

This is a reflection tool, not a test or a demand to turn every interest into work or achievement. Your interests and strengths belong to you, and they can matter simply because they bring meaning, connection or enjoyment.
