Figure-Four Stretch
The figure-four stretch focuses on the hips and gluteal muscles, which can become tight or stiff after long periods of sitting or reduced movement. It can be performed sitting or lying down, making it easier to choose a version that works for your body.
You only need to move far enough to notice a comfortable stretch around the hip or buttock. There’s no need to push the knee down or force greater flexibility, the aim is gentle mobility rather than achieving a particular position.
