Sleep & Neurodivergence

Sleep doesn’t always fit neatly into conventional advice particularly when attention, sensory processing, transitions, hyperfocus or a need for stimulation are part of the picture.

This flexible workbook explores sleep through a neurodivergent friendly lens, recognising that there is no single routine that will work for every brain.

You’ll explore how your own attention and sensory needs affect bedtime, create a personal sleep sensory profile and consider what helps with sound, light, touch and temperature. There are also activities focused on one of the easily overlooked parts of bedtime: actually stopping what you are doing and transitioning towards sleep.

You’ll explore whether you need less stimulation or simply the right kind of stimulation to settle, before bringing everything together into your own neurodivergent friendly sleep plan.

The emphasis throughout is on reducing friction and creating support around the way your brain actually works.

Expect: sensory exploration, transition supports, flexible routines, personalised strategies and a 7-night sleep-support experiment.
