STAYING ACTIVE
Movement can support mental health without becoming another target to achieve.
This Space to Breathe Therapy resource looks at staying active in a realistic, inclusive way. It explores how movement can affect mood, stress, sleep, energy and concentration, while recognising that depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, disability, pain, fatigue and sensory needs can all change what movement feels possible.
You will find practical ideas for starting very small, alternatives to conventional exercise, ways to reduce barriers, a gentle movement experiment and a before-and-after check-in.
The emphasis is not on doing more. It is on discovering the kinds of movement that help your body and mind — and finding a level that works for you today.
Includes a personal Message from Maggie.
