WORD REFLECTION: KINDNESS
What comes to mind when you see only part of a word?
This interactive Word Reflection begins with _ _ _ _ _ N E S S, allowing you to notice your own first association before the intended word - KINDNESS - is revealed inside the PDF.
The exercise then explores kindness in a much broader way. What does genuine kindness feel like to receive? Why can accepting care sometimes feel difficult? How do we offer kindness to ourselves as well as to other people?
The fillable PDF also looks at an important distinction: kindness is not the same as people-pleasing. Readers are invited to consider boundaries, consent, self-neglect and the ways that saying no can sometimes be a caring and respectful response.
Practical interactive prompts help you identify a small act of kindness towards somebody else, one towards yourself, a boundary you may need, words you need when you are struggling, and kindness you already offer but rarely recognise.
There is also a simple kindness experiment, support for people who find self-kindness uncomfortable, a personal message from Maggie, therapeutic context and suggested further reading.
There is no right answer to the opening puzzle. The purpose is curiosity - noticing what your mind brings forward and what that might open up for reflection.
Until next time, give yourself space to breathe.
With love, Maggie
