Caring for Your Mind and Body While Grieving

Grief can be felt in far more places than our emotions. It can affect the way we sleep, eat, think, concentrate, move through the day and experience our own body.

I have created this guide to help you understand caring for your mind and body while grieving without making grief into something that has to be fixed or completed. It explains some of the emotional and physical responses that can happen after loss, why everyday tasks can suddenly feel harder, and gentle ways to support yourself when your capacity is low.

Inside you will find practical ideas, reassurance, information about when it may be helpful to speak to your GP or a therapist, book recommendations and places to find additional bereavement support.

There is no correct way to grieve and no timetable you have to meet. Take from this resource what feels useful and leave anything that does not fit you.

With warmth,
Maggie
