I asked my husband what it feels like for him after having a transient ischemic attack (stroke) and he gave a perfect example without meaning to in this light hearted video.Experiencing a TIA (transient ischaemic attack), often referred to as a “mini stroke,” can feel frightening and disorientating. Symptoms may come on suddenly such as weakness on one side, changes in speech, vision disturbances, or dizziness and then resolve within a short period of time. Even though symptoms are temporary, a TIA is a serious medical warning sign that the brain’s blood supply was briefly disrupted. It isn’t something to ignore or minimise. Prompt medical assessment and follow-up care are essential, as early intervention can significantly reduce the risk of a future stroke. If you or someone else experiences sudden neurological symptoms, seek urgent medical attention immediately.
