The Space to Breathe Social Hub is a supportive, creative, and inclusive space built to help people feel informed, connected, and understood. It brings together clear mental health information, practical tools, and real voices from practitioners, creators, and the wider community.

Before you begin exploring, I’d like to share why creating this space has become one of the most important things I have ever done. This library is dedicated to my parents, Susan Brown and Robert Brown, known to his friends as Bob.
My mum was a beautiful, caring and compassionate woman. From a young age she was diagnosed with manic depression and, like so many people of her generation, that diagnosis became the lens through which much of the world viewed her.

Rather than telling you who to be or what to feel, this hub is designed to walk alongside you, offering resources you can explore at your own pace, in your own way. Here, you’ll find an A–Z of mental health conditions, practitioner profiles, interactive tools, videos, creative content, and shared recommendations — all curated with care.
Our aim is to create a space that feels grounding rather than overwhelming, where curiosity is encouraged and support is accessible. Whether you’re here to learn, reflect, create, or simply take a pause, the Social Hub exists to support you as you navigate your own experiences and reconnect with what helps you breathe again.
