BODY SCAN – WHERE IS YOUR ANXIETY SITTING TODAY?

Anxiety doesn’t only happen in our thoughts. It can appear in the jaw we didn’t realise we were clenching, shoulders that have crept upwards, a racing heart, a churning stomach, shaky hands or legs that feel ready to run.

This downloadable Body Scan gives you some space to stop and notice what your body is communicating.

You’ll be guided gently from your head down to your feet, noticing physical sensations without having to change or judge them. You can explore what may have happened before your anxiety increased, what other emotions might be present and what your body may need from you right now.

There is also an anxiety intensity check, practical grounding ideas, space to identify one manageable next step, a body-map activity and a final check-in so you can notice whether anything has shifted.

You don’t need to complete every part every time you use it. Sometimes simply recognising “my shoulders are tight” or “I’m holding my breath” can be an important check-in.

Pause. Notice. Check in.

A resource to return to whenever anxiety feels loud and you need a little Space to Breathe.
