DEPRESSION & LOW MOOD SUPPORT GROUPS - UK WIDE

Finding a support group when you are living with depression or low mood can feel like another task at exactly the point when energy, motivation and confidence may already be low. This UK-wide directory has been created to make that first search simpler.

Inside you will find named peer-support groups and community routes across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, together with online options where available. The directory includes PeerTalk groups, AWARE NI, Local Minds, Mind Cymru, Adferiad, SAMH services, Health in Mind and other established routes into local support.

The resource is designed for people experiencing depression, low mood, anxiety or emotional distress, as well as family members, carers and loved ones who may be trying to find the right kind of support. Each entry gives a short explanation of what the service offers, where it is available and who it may be most useful for.

There is also a short 'Before going to a group' section. It is okay to contact a group first, ask questions, find out whether you can listen rather than speak, check accessibility, or ask whether somebody can travel with you. Going to a support group does not mean you have to tell your whole story.

Group details can change, so please check directly with the organisation before travelling.
