FINDING MYSELF AGAIN
Rebuilding my identity after depression.
Feeling better does not always mean immediately feeling like the person you were before depression. Sometimes recovery brings a different question: who am I now?
Finding Myself Again explores the strange middle ground between surviving depression and reconnecting with your life. It looks at the pressure to “get back to normal”, why good days do not create an obligation to stay well, and how confidence, interests, preferences and identity can return at different speeds.
Inside the downloadable resource, you will find compassionate article-style reflections, a personal perspective, the What Do I Carry Forward? exercise, a small identity experiment, and practical ideas for rebuilding confidence through ordinary choices.
There are also three books selected specifically for this topic, with individual reviews explaining why each belongs here, guidance about seeking further support, and a closing Message from Maggie.
This is not about recreating an old version of yourself. It is about deciding what still belongs, what can be left behind and what you may want to discover as the darkness gradually gives way to more light.
