HINDSIGHT BIAS WORKSHEET
After an outcome is known, the mind can make it feel obvious and predictable. This is hindsight bias, and it can intensify guilt, shame and harsh self-judgement.
The worksheet separates what happened, what you knew at the time, what became known later and the standard you are now applying to yourself.
A fair review can include responsibility and learning without pretending you had information that was not available.
Use the final section to identify a lesson, repair or future choice while speaking to your past self with context and humanity.
With warmth,
Maggie
