MY PICTORIAL COPING PLAN

In a distressed moment, a long list of coping ideas can be difficult to use. A simple visual plan can make familiar options easier to recognise.

This page groups tools by purpose: settling high energy, returning to the present, gently lifting low energy, and connecting with support.

The final section asks you to choose three tools to practise when calm. Rehearsal helps the plan feel more available when thinking becomes harder.

Personalise it with your own drawings, sensory preferences and contact names. Remove any strategy that does not fit your body, access needs or circumstances.

With warmth,
Maggie
