HELPFUL SELF-TALK
The way we speak to ourselves can intensify distress or create a little more room to respond. Yet phrases that feel unrealistically positive are often easy for the mind to reject.
This worksheet helps you notice the message you are hearing, examine what is fair and true, and shape a kinder phrase that remains believable.
The final section links the phrase to action. Supportive self-talk can help you pause, ask for help, set a boundary, repair a mistake or keep going gently.
Use the page to build a small bank of phrases in calm moments, then practise the ones that fit when pressure rises.
With warmth,
Maggie
