RECONNECTING WITH THE REAL ME

Rediscovering what matters, what feels right and what brings you back to life.

Depression can leave us so focused on surviving, meeting responsibilities and managing other people's expectations that our own preferences become difficult to hear. Reconnecting With the Real Me explores what happens when you begin asking not only “Am I feeling better?” but “What actually feels like me?”

This compassionate resource looks at masking, people-pleasing, adapting to others, losing touch with your preferences and the difference between genuine recovery and becoming better at looking okay.

Inside the downloadable PDF is a personal reflection, the When Do I Feel Most Like Me? exercise, a small authenticity experiment and practical guidance for reconnecting with the values underneath old activities rather than forcing yourself back into a previous life.

Three different books have been selected specifically for this topic, each with an individual review. There is also guidance about additional support and a closing Message from Maggie.

You do not have to uncover one perfect, fixed identity. Reconnection can begin with noticing the places, people and choices where you feel a little less guarded and a little more like yourself.
