THE DOMINO EFFECT
When one small thing knocks into everything else

This standalone Support Hub article explores how difficulties can create chain reactions across different areas of everyday life. Poor sleep can affect concentration, concentration can affect work, work stress can affect patience and relationships, and the resulting worry can feed back into sleep. What looks like several separate problems may sometimes be a connected sequence.

Inside the PDF, we look at how stress travels between work, home, relationships and wellbeing; how neurodivergent executive-functioning and sensory demands can create cascading pressures; and why the final problem we notice may not be where the chain began.

The article also explores positive dominoes. One small supportive change - a boundary, practical system, adjustment, conversation or period of recovery - can change what happens next without requiring somebody to fix everything at once.

A reflective exercise helps readers trace one of their own repeating chains backwards, identify what is and is not within their control, and find one realistic point where the pattern might be interrupted.

The central message is: sometimes you don't have to fix every domino. You just need to find the one you can stop.
